2020 ACF Outstanding Student Leaders: Marcela Guilombo and Oscar Galvis

Marcela Guilombo and Oscar Galvis

Native to Mexico, Marcela and Oscar have a long history at the University of Texas at Austin, from which both have received masters degrees, she in mathematics and he in civil engineering.  Currently, Oscar is completing a doctorate in civil engineering.  Over the past five years, this husband and wife team has promoted and supported public campus ministry extensively, not only on their own campus in Austin, Texas, but also throughout the Southwestern Union and the North American Division of Seventh-day Adventists. In 2019, they helped implement a public campus ministry training program, which occurred at the General Conference, in Silver Spring, Maryland.  One year later, Oscar bore major responsibility as vice president of programming for organizing the first virtual Adventist Christian Fellowship Institute.
