John Van Patten

This year, ARC gave its annual Award for Outstanding Student Leadership in Campus Ministry to William John Van Patten, a doctoral student in biophysics at the University of California, Berkeley. Van Patten was recognized for his leadership locally—coordinating zoom sessions, expanding membership, and advancing student concerns as a member of the church board—as well as his participation as a representative at meetings held on the conference and union levels of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
